Abandoned dredger remains afloat in Arabian sea
India-flagged dredger TRIDEVI PREM with 20 people on board reported water ingress near Mangalore port, Arabian sea.

The Mumbai-based hopper dredger named TRIDEVI PREM reported flooding at the night of September 1. The crew sent a distress message to the Indian Coast Guard. It has reported that there were 13 crew and 6 members of the repair team on board.
After receiving the distress message, Indian Coast Guard ship AMRITYA steamed to assist, and rescued the crew. "The operation was undertaken in extremely inclement and rough sea conditions", said an employee from the Indian Coast Guard.
In September 2, the crew abandoned the ship.
