Aker Solutions secures five-year contract on Hebron
Aker Solutions has secured a five-year extension of ExxonMobil's contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the Hebron platform.
The contract is a five year extension, beginning in the summer of 2020. Starting in 2015, Aker Solutions has provided EPC services to Hebron.
The work is being conducted from the premises of Aker Solutions in St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
On Tuesday, Aker Solutions said it estimates the contract value as NOK 1.4 billion ($154.3 million).
That will be booked in the third quarter of 2020 as order intake.
“We are delighted to be extending our strong relationship with ExxonMobil in Canada, and to further strengthen the international footprint of our brownfield services business," Linda Aase, executive vice president, brownfield projects, at Aker Solutions, said.
The Hebron platform consists of a stand-alone gravity-based structure that supports an integrated topsides deck that includes living quarters and facilities for drilling and producing.
The platform has around 1.2 million barrels of oil storage capacity. Production began in November 2017.
