Asean Seas Line, based in Hong Kong, is growing and has started planning its first newbuilds.

CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has agreed to construct two 1,900 teu containerships for the intra-Asian operator.
Asean Seas Lines, which was established ten years ago, currently operates three feeder ships that travel between China and Southeast Asia.
The 1,900 teu design from Wenchong is becoming increasingly popular. China United Lines (CU Lines), a fast-growing shipping company, recently signed a contract with the yard for up to four similar ships.
