Coral Expeditions confirms restart of operations in Western Australia
Australian small ship cruise line Coral Expeditions has confirmed the restart of operations in Western Australia.
All needed state and federal approvals, including support of their SailSAFE travel industry-leading strategy, have been achieved by the company.
For the Australian adventure cruise industry, the launch marks another important milestone. Since October 2020, Coral Expeditions has been continuously working incident-free in the Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania and last week just completed a very good inaugural voyage in South Australian waters.
The 2021 voyages of the company include new itineraries exploring the coastline and seldom explored islands off WA, as well as a slice of classic Australian heritage, its celebrated Kimberley voyage between Broome and Darwin.
The Coral Adventurer, the exploration vessel supplied by the company in 2019, is currently en route from Adelaide to Fremantle. On 10 March 2021, the Houtman Abrolhos group, Ningaloo and Shark Bay, the Muiron and Montebello Islands and the Dampier Archipelagos will sail from Fremantle to Broome.
The brand-new vessel Coral Geographer (to be delivered in March 2021) will depart on its sold-out Maiden Voyage on 31 March as another milestone for the group.
