Costa Cruises prepares two ships for cruising in Europe
Following the approval of the Italian Government for the resumption of cruises and new health guidelines, Costa Cruises plans to resume its operations from Italian ports slowly on 6 September 2020.
The return to cruising will be gradual, requiring an growing number of ships, the company said.
The first ship to set sail will be Costa Deliziosa, sailing weekly trips from Trieste to Greece on 6 September 2020.
She will be followed by Costa Diadema, which will run seven-day cruises in the western Mediterranean from Genoa to Italy and Malta on 19 September 2020.
After the entry into force of the new decree by the Italian Government, Costa Cruises has collaborated with the Flag State authorities and the destinations to ensure the responsible, smooth and well-organized implementation of the new regulations and protocols, in close cooperation with local governments, health authorities, port master offices, ports and terminals and RINA.
Further information on the Costa Deliziosa and Costa Diadem routes will be announced in the coming days.
