Costa Victoria in her way to Turkey for scrapping
Former Costa Cruises vessel Costa Victoria will be scrapped. Later this month, the 1996-built ship will be towed to Turkey where she will be demolished.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the former Costa vessel was quickly sold, with Carnival Corporation selling the vessel to Genova Industrie Navali Srl, which owns a number of drydocks and shipyards in Europe under the GIN Group, including Mariotti, which specializes in luxury newbuildings, and Chantier Naval de Marseille, which provides the largest drydock in the Mediterranean.
It was speculated that the ship was considered for a hotel ship or for drydock work use, with those deals falling through.
