With 3D modeling, the technology inspects the internal structure of welds and collects information through artificial intelligence. Without destroying the welded part, it detects discontinuities inside a weld. On an integrated management framework, the cumulative data is processed.
Through using digital technologies for testing welds in shipbuilding work, the company aims to improve work productivity and slash radiation exposure risks.
DSME has recently completed its internal robot test operation and is planning to seriously extend it to production sites.
