As previously stated, the unit will assist clients in obtaining new ship financing via both operational and financial lease structures.

The shipbuilding company has been assisting its clients in obtaining funding for new ships for decades.

The benefit for shipowners, according to Damen, is that they can treat their capital expenditure as operating costs (OPEX). The additional service for Damen means that a broader package, including repairs, is available, allowing for better management and, as a result, a more sustainable use of the ships.
