ICOMIA Marinas Group Golden Cleat Award Winner Announced
The ICOMIA Marinas Group Golden Cleat Award has been awarded to Daniel S. Natchez, President of Daniel S. Natchez & Associates Inc.
The award was announced at the gala dinner event during the recent ICOMIA World Marinas Conference in Portugal, and Daniel, who is US based in Mamaroneck, NY, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional leadership, advocacy and dedication to the betterment of the world’s marina industry.
Dan has been a leading proponent of the industry, with a proactive, unique approach for enhancing the marine environment through meaningful, functional design especially with a view to making marinas more accessible for people with limited mobility. In receiving his award Dan said “I am at a loss for words, and for those who know me, that is rare – a most humbling experience”.

Dan is the first American to win the award and it is only the second time this Golden Cleet award has ever been given out.
Dan Natchez is President of an International Award Winning Environmental Waterfront Design Company and serves numerous international, nation and regional committees and organizations and authors an internationally syndicated column on marinas and recreational boating. Dan has also been awarded the title of Certified Marina Professional, at the time one of eight in the world and the only American.
ICOMIA brings together a wide range of national marine industry associations into one global organization and represents them at an international level, presenting a strong and united voice when dealing with issues challenging the industry. ICOMIA has been an active advocate for the international marine industry since 1966, working with authorities, regulatory bodies and related organizations to facilitate and encourage the growth of the worldwide recreational marine industry whilst keeping on top of policies and guidance to ensure the promotion, protection and growth of the industry.
