Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE), Hyundai Heavy Industries' shipbuilding holding company, has announced that it has developed a digital twin ship technology that enables ship operations to be tested in a virtual world.
The South Korean shipbuilding major has received approval (AIP) for its technology from Lloyd's Register.
The solution enables a shipbuilder to verify the engine, fuel supply system and power control system performance of an LNG carrier in a virtual environment, especially under extreme simulation conditions.
