Merchant ship is attacked in Gulf of Guinea

Pirates opened fire on BW Group's Bermuda-flagged liquefied natural gas tanker LNG Lakoja on December 28 off the Gulf of Guinea.

Security company Dryad Global identified attacked ship as LNG LOKOJA. It's the eighth piracy strike in eastern Nigerian waters in 2019. The vessel has maanged to escape from the pirates and now rendezvoused with naval vessels
