Naval escort taskforces of China holds mission-handover ceremony
On January 31, a mission handover ceremony was conducted in the Gulf of Aden by the 36th and 37th Chinese naval escort task forces.
The 37th task force formally succeeded the 36th task force in the conduct of escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and waters off Somali after the ceremony.
The command post of the 36th Chinese naval escort taskforce handed over relevant documents and equipment to its successor at the handover ceremony. The two task forces' sailors also shared views on escort duties, training and political work.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy's 37th escort task force set sail for the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia.
The 37th PLA Navy fleet, composed of the guided-missile destroyer Changsha, guided-missile frigate Yulin, and comprehensive supply ship Honghu has left the military port in Sanya City of south China’s Hainan Province on Jan 16.
