San Diego Port waits for technical calls from five ships
The Port of San Diego has said that in the next few weeks it plans five technical stops by Holland America Line and Princess Cruises ships.
The port said it will give public health priority, with additional precautions in place to reduce the spread and exposure of the community to COVID-19.
As part of these efforts, five Holland America Line (HAL) ships and one Princess Cruises ship are scheduled to arrive at the B Street Cruise Terminal regularly for fuel, food, equipment, and/or services this week and during the new year. The proposed schedule for first arrival is as follows:
- Holland America Koningsdam – December 23
- Princess Cruises Emerald Princess – December 24
- Holland America Westerdam – December 28
- Holland America Zuiderdam – January 8
- Holland America Noordam – January 11
The ships are expected to stay in the San Diego area at this time and may be visible off the coast, with some occasionally located off the coast of Coronado in the outer anchorage just outside San Diego Bay. Each HAL ship plans to return regularly to the B Street Cruise Terminal to refuel and/or to resupply or receive services after their initial arrival.
