Scorpio sells its fourth ultramax to an unnamed client
The 2016-built ultramax was sold for a price of $18.5 m to an unidentified third party.
Monaco’s Scorpio Bulkers has sold its fourth ultramax in the same week with the sale of SBI Zeus.
The vessel's delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
The sale is one of many since Scorpio declared a move into the offshore wind industry over the past month, ordering a wind turbine installation vessel at DSME.
Scorpio sold four ultramaxes and three kamsarmaxes, raising over $125 m, after placing the order for the vessel, priced at between $265 m and $290 m.
Scorpio Bulkers is a leading international provider of marine transportation of dry bulk commodities. The Company owns and operates a fleet of modern mid to large size dry bulk vessels, specifically Ultramax and Kamsarmax vessels.
The Company’s owned and finance leased fleet has a total carrying capacity of approximately 3.9 million deadweight tonnes.
