Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg tests its employees to detect coronavirus
Sea Port Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) says it's extended the package of measures to prevent coronavirus infection from spreading (COVID-19). It was one of the first companies in the country to begin evaluating its workers on 2 April 2020.
Diagnosis should be made for all port work including loading / unloading operations.
As the company with pressing stability, SP SPb is maintaining regular service with improved security enforcement. When fulfilling its obligations to clients, the goal of the company is to ensure its employees 'safety.
The following shift workers will be tested: dock engineers, handling machinery managers, warehouse employees and others who ensure the company's continuous service.
Paramedics of the medical centers of the port are engaged in biomaterial analysis about the timetable of the changes. In the sampling process, plans are made to avoid crowds so as to eliminate the danger of infection.
These tests supplement the company's collection of measures performed within the occupational health system.
Individual protective means and information on routine steps to avoid coronavirus are given to staff involved in the handling activities, both at workplaces and off-site.
