Alabama Shipyard has been awarded a contract of $23,752,381 for a 96-calendar day shipyard availability for USNS Supply's regular overhaul and dry docking (T-AOE 6).

Work will take place in Mobile, Ala., and will be completed by November 2020. This contract includes one base term and 10 options which, if exercised, would bring this contract's cumulative value to $26,361,776.

The contract was competitively procured through the Government Point of Entry website with proposals submitted, and the soe bidder was Alabama Shipyard. The contracting activity is the Military Sealift Command (MSC) of the United States Navy.

The NASSCO-built USNS Supply, ex-USS Supply (AOE-6), is the lead ship of fast fight support ships in the Supply-class. The vessel was commissioned in 1994 and dismantled in 2001, during which her guns were withdrawn, and transferred to the MSC for service.
