Carnival said it expects later delivery of ships initially scheduled for fiscal year 2022 and 2023, due to shipyard delays and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Arnold Donald, CEO, speaking earlier in the week about the company's business update call, said they'd arranged 16 delayed deliveries. The company plans to produce two to three new ships on an annual basis from now on.
The company didn't expand on which ships would see delays and further clarified that no cancellations would be made.
