Carnival Cruise's Mardi Gras gets her funnel

The Carnival Mardi Gras has received her funnel at Meyer Turku as the iconic Carnival funnel was placed on the vessel earlier this week.

The Carnival Mardi Gras has received her funnel at Meyer Turku as the iconic Carnival funnel was placed on the vessel earlier this week. The 5,200-guest ship debuts later this year, sailing from Port Canaveral on LNG fuel.

A sister ship to Costa Smeralda, AIDAnova nad Iona under construction for P&O Cruises, the LNG-powered, 5,200-passenger ship will debut in November this year in Port Canaveral.

Carnival will take delivery of the ship in late October and its first revenue sailing will depart from Port Canaveral on Nov. 14, 2020. 

Mardi Gras will feature the first coaster at sea. BOLT will take center stage in the Ultimate Playground, spanning Decks 18-20 and home to the largest WaterWorks aqua park in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
