Allianz Global Assistance provides the included policy which requires coverage of costs for medical/hospitalization, including those associated with COVID-19.
Coverage covers transport costs to the nearest hospital and, if necessary, travel costs to the next port of call, as well as travel costs for returning home due to sickness, if required, and compensation for any unused portion of a cruise.
Guests may choose to change their policy for an extra fee to also provide, according to a statement, trip cancellation coverage.
The first sailing of the 2021 season by Celestyal will be on the Celestyal Experience on March 6, with the "Three Continents" seven-night itinerary calling for Greece (Athens and Rhodes), Turkey (Kusadasi), Israel (Ashdod), Egypt (Port Said) and Cyprus (Limassol).
“We are extremely optimistic about the future of cruising and are truly excited to introduce our guests to our newest addition to the fleet, the Celesytal Experience. We recognize that concerns surrounding the pandemic still exist, and we want to help put our guests at ease when booking with us for voyages during the first half of next year," stated Leslie Peden, chief commercial officer, Celestyal Cruises.
