Earlier this month, at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, the company also ordered ten 4,600 TEU ships. At China Merchants Jingling, the order consists of six firm ships and options for two more.
The completion of the vessels is scheduled between the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first half of 2024.
The new construction contracts will be financed by the company's IPO earnings, which were completed in September last year.
Alphaliner data shows that Zhonggu Logistics operates a fleet of 116 vessels with a total capacity of 171,459 TEU, making it China's largest domestic container company.
