The contract includes the construction of three LPG ships totaling 5000 cubic meters and an additional order for two vessels.
CIMC SOE, a branch of CIMC ENRIC, says the ships will be the world's first full-pressure dual-fuelled LPG vessels.
The ships will carry dual-fuelled main engine LPG from MAN.
CIMC SOE said that because of the current situation related to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, the agreement was signed via a videoconference.
The two companies have previously joined forces on a number of ventures including Gaschem Beluga, a liquefied ethylene gas (LEG) carrier.
