In the Port of IJmuiden in the north of the Netherlands, the company will use the Stan Tug for mooring, supply, crew transfer, diving support and other tasks.
Having signed the contract on 2 October, Damen expects to deliver the ship next year in January. Damen 's practice of constructing standard vessels in series facilitates the speed of the delivery.
Damen is able to customize them to the requirements of its customers with choices, considering the standardized design of its vessels. Installing a crane, a generator set, and coupling winches are included in the Stan Tug 1004 order.
The Stan Tug 1004 is now at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld in the Netherlands, having been designed at Damen Shipyards Changde in China, where it will be equipped with options ready for delivery to the customer next year.
“This is Vletterlieden’s first Damen vessel and we’ve been discussing the possibility of delivering a boat to them for some time, so I’m really pleased with this contract. We are looking forward to working with the client as we make the vessel ready for their needs in the coming months," stated Damen sales manager Vincent de Maat.
