The restart begins with the first departure of the Costa Deliziosa, scheduled for 6 September from Trieste.
Costa also said that it was the first cruise company to earn the RINA Biosafety Trust Certification.
The certification process, carried out by assessments, reviews all aspects of life on board and ashore – from embarkation procedures to hotel facilities, dining, wellness, leisure areas and shore excursions – and assesses the system's compliance with the system's infection prevention and control procedures.
The test will be carried out in the sense of the wider pre-boarding procedures that have been established in compliance with the protocols of the health authorities and the Costa Safety Protocol. The rapid antigenic test will identify any suspected cases that may be subject to a PCR test for further investigation, thus determining the possibility of embarkation.
The company also offers its guests the option of subscribing to a dedicated insurance policy, with specific services in case of need.
