“With its beautiful sandy beaches, its warm sun and crystal blue waters, Egypt is ready to welcome tourists back” said Tourism Minister Khaled Al-Enani on his Instagram account.
This came after a trip he posted pictures of him while making a follow-up to hotels and resorts in Matrouh, the North Coast and Alexandria that received the "Hygiene Protection Certificate" from the ministry, which enables these hotels to accept international visitors, as they take the requisite preventive steps to protect tourists from the novel coronavirus.
Egypt's Red Sea Governorate has checked 110 hotels to ensure they apply preventive measures, a tourism official said on June 25, ahead of the resumption of international flights and tourism to the Governorate and the cities of South Sinai and Matrouh.
Only 94 of the 110 hotels obtained the health and safety certificate required by the hotels to reopen in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, Manal Salah, director of the Red Sea Governorate office of the Tourism Ministry.
