Evergreen receives delivery of two F-type 12,000 TEU vessels

On December 15, Evergreen Line took delivery of its sixth and seventh new Class F-type 12,000 TEU containerships.

Ever Forever was designed at the Samsung Heavy Industries South Korean Geoje Shipyard, and Ever Far was supplied by Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan.

After the delivery procedures were finished, the two new large containerships set sail in good order.

The 58,000-horsepower main engines of the ships power the technically advanced ships on Evergreen's trans-Pacific services at their designated loading ports.

On the Asia-US East Coast (AUE) service that follows a port rotation from Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Panama and then to Savannah, New York and Baltimore, Ever Forever will be put into service before going back to Asia

The F-type containerships have a length of 334 meters, a width of 48.4 meters and a scantling draft of 15.5 meters.

The dimensions are within the draft limitations and terminal operation standards of major ports in the US. The ship’s hull adopts the twin-island design, in which the navigation bridge is located in the fore section of the ship and the engine room is located semi-aft.

In the design of F-type ships, Evergreen has implemented the Smart Ship System, which has been certified by the related class societies. This advanced system can provide both the crew and the supervising team ashore with a full range of valuable information, helping to monitor the operational condition of the ship.
