Damen has delivered the thirteen vessels quickly, modified to the requirements of its client. The thirteen vessel order is including four ASD Tugs 2813, two ASD Tugs 3212, three RSD Tugs 2513 – all state-of-the-art vessels from Damen’s Next Generation Tugs series – three Stan Tugs 2208 and a Shoalbuster 2609. The contract includes spare part packages, training, a computerised planned maintenance system and a remote monitoring system on board of all tugs.
During the ceremony, seven of the thirteen tugs where lined up at the Albwardy Damen facility in Sharjah. Three tugs are already in operation and the remaining three boats are reportedly on voyage from the yard to the client. Albwardy Damen has played a crucial role in outfitting the tugs as per the client’s requirements and providing training to all crew prior to delivery.
