Under the deal, Korea Shipbuilding's shipbuilding unit Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. will begin building the ships in November and deliver them to the buyers from the second half of 2021, Korea Shipbuilding said in an emailed statement.
The deal has the option to build a supplementary PC carrier.
Korea Shipbuilding has bagged orders so far this year to create a total of 20 PC carriers including the latest contract.
Korea Shipbuilding, newly founded from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., is the Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings Co. sub-holding company and has three shipbuilders under its umbrella — Hyundai Heavy, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co.
