The Oasis-class ship was floated out with capacity for more than 5,000 guests and will now move to an outfitting pier as construction proceeds ahead of a planned launch in 2022, marking a minor pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The vessel is expected to operate on the market in China.
Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas was new to the Chinese market in 2019 and commanded a price premium on her year-round sailing out of Shanghai, entering a seasonal deployment scheme from the Quantum of the Seas, as well as seasonal sailing aboard the Voyager of the Seas at the time.
According to the cruise line, the Wonder of the Seas will feature new interior designs and concepts which will attract the Chinese market.
