The vessel, Minerva Kalymnos is capable of handling liquefied natural gas for 174,000 cubic metres.
In its statement, the company noted that SHI performed the launch on July 18.
Minerva Kalymnos uses the containment system of a Mark III Flex Plus GTT. This also features an X-DF two-stroke propulsion, the company said.
Minerva Gas said it is the first of a series of three sister vessels currently being constructed by the company at SHI.
Around the same time, at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) yard in South Korea, the company has two more liquefied natural gas carriers under construction.
