As part of these steps, MSC reported that it was only until January 6 that passenger ships were able to make technical calls at Greek ports.
Due to the ambiguity at this point as to whether these ports will completely re-open on 7 January or whether, as is very likely to be the case, these steps will be further extended, MSC announced that it had taken the decision to postpone the resumption of operations for MSC Magnifica until 14 February 2021 for the benefit of its guests.
Guests booked on MSC Magnifica prior to their new restart date will be able to move their booking to MSC Grandiosa as early as 10 January, when the vessel is expected to restart its Western Mediterranean route by calling ports in Italy and Malta only.
