The meeting took place in a videoconference format the other day. The parties discussed and agreed, on the basis of the information of its participants, on a unified concept of coastal services for cruise fleets in the ports of Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria, including the requirements of safety protocols adopted by shipping companies on board ships.
The content of the innovation lies in the fact that information is shared between the captain and our dispatcher before the ship reaches the port of call about the existence and compatibility of the 'Operational Plans' of the port of call activities in the case of a patient suspected of infectious diseases.
Since all cruise ship passengers have adequate insurance plans, the Odesa Seaport Authority does not see any obstacles to the reception and maintenance of cruise ships during navigation in 2021.
It should be noted that, for the 2021 season, a total of 22 applications were approved from cruise companies to call the port of Odesa.
