Princess Cruises extends its pause of operations

Princess Cruises announced in a press release that it will extend its cruise vacation pause for sailings from Seattle until June 27, 2021.

Carnival said it is continuing to collaborate with various US and Canadian government officials to save a portion of the Alaska cruise season in 2021.

The halted in service affects Emerald Princess and Majestic Princess seven-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises, according to the company.

Princess will give guests booked on a cancelled cruise the opportunity to transfer to an equivalent cruise in 2022. The guests' 2021 fare will be covered on their 2022 voyage as a result of the rebooking process.

Requests must be submitted via this online form by April 15, 2021, or guests will be allocated to the FCC choice automatically. FCCs can be used on any cruises booked by December 31, 2022, and sailing by that date.

For fully paid bookings in 2022, Princess will pass the commission received by travel agents from the cancelled 2021 cruise to the new booking in 2022. This convenience is due to the important role they play in the cruise line's company and growth.
