A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) with OW Offshore, a Spanish offshore wind power firm, and Kumyang, a Korean renewable energy company, to build a giant floating offshore wind power complex off the Ulsan coast, which the parties involved say will be the world's largest.
Currently, South Korea is accelerating the construction of a new wind power generation system to create 4.6 GW of floating offshore wind farms in the country's southeast over the next few years.
