Huge cruise ships carrying tourists occupied Turkish ports at the start of the tourist season. The port of Aydın Kuşadası got its share of this attention. The world’s leading travel companies started to offer voyages from the Kuşadası Port during the 2022 tourist season. This huge ship with a capacity of up to 2,700 passengers will sail 29 voyages from the Kuşadası Port to the Mediterranean during the year.

Cruise Company Manager Angelo Capurro said, "Construction of Galataport and the new airport in Istanbul has met the infrastructure needs. Turkish Airlines also brings passengers from 330 countries of the world. Turkey is a very important destination". 846 tourists came to Turkey on the first voyage of this huge cruise. Tourists, most of whom are from Italy, Germany, and America, visited the Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary located in the Selçuk district of Izmir. Industry representatives reminded that 344 cruises docked at the Turkish ports in 2019 before the outbreak.
This year, more than 1.5 million tourists are expected to come with more than 1,000 cruise ships to cities and provinces, such as Istanbul, Izmir, Kuşadası.
