Important traffic involves journeys identified by the authorities for work and other travel.
Four of the seven vessels on Viking Line will continue their service between Finland and Sweden, the Åland Islands and Estonia.
Passengers will be able to travel between the Finnish peninsula and Åland, as usual. The new regulations come into effect on 14 May 2020.
Service between Stockholm and Helsinki will be suspended until at least 31 May 2020. Cruises from Stockholm to Mariehamn with MS Viking Cinderella are to be suspended until 15 June 2020 at least. The Viking XPRS, which usually operates between Helsinki and Tallinn, will remain out of service until 31 May 2020 at least.
