Tianjin Southwest Maritime to receive VLGC from Jiangnan Shipyard
Chinese gas carrier operator Tianjin Southwest Maritime has ordered the construction of a 93,000 cu m very wide gas carrier at Jiangnan Shipyard (VLGC).

The order adds to the company's current orderbook at Jiangnan Shipyard of five VLGCs and two VLECs.
The vessel that will follow the Panda-Class model from Jiangnan Shipyard will be the largest VLGC in terms of capacity in the company's fleet. The delivery is scheduled in 2023, and the vessel will be operated by Sinogas Management, a sister company of Tianjin Southwest.
A fleet of 17 gas carriers with another nine on order is currently operated by Tianjin Southwest.
