The incident happened after the crude oil tanker MAGUS departed from Istanbul. An able seaman and the second officer died after they drank methyl spirit on board of crude oil tanker during the night August 20. After the incident master of the tanker has requested immediate assistance to two poisoned crew and anchored off Taman, Black sea. Two Ukranian seamen were transferred on board of a tug to be taken to hospital in Taman. It is reported that one died during transportation and the other seaman lost his life in hospital. The reason of the incident is unknown.
