Utkilen receives the delivery of third LNG tanker
On June 3rd, Bergen-headquartered shipping company Utkilen took delivery from the Dingheng shipyard in China of its thirds LNG-ready tanker.

The 10,500-dwt newbuilding named Saltstraum is the third in the series of four newbuildings ordered at the Chinese shipyard, featuring stainless steel cargo tanks.
Saltstraum is scheduled to depart the yard on June 6 before setting out for Europe for the first loading of the cargo. On the same day, the fourth vessel in the series from Utkilen, Sydstraum is scheduled to begin trials at sea.
Both vessels are prepared for dual fuel, with a ready-made LNG engine as well as ready to install battery pack, Utkilen said in his statement.
The vessel is constructed by FKAB Marine Design in collaboration with the owner Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng, formerly known as Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding, Utkilen and China Merchants.
