The contract, which was signed in January 2021, covers the Wartsila engines mounted on the cutter suction dredger ‘Athena.'

The new agreement also adds Wartsila's Expert Insight and Data Driven Maintenance solutions to the original. It also makes it possible to add innovations and maintenance procedures that improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

Expert Insight is a innovative solution that pushes the boundaries of predictive maintenance to new heights. The service uses artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced diagnostics to continuously track equipment and systems, spot anomalies, predict possible issues, and respond quickly.
