Turkish World Union of Architects and Engineers Board of Directors; it was decided by a majority of votes that the XIV General Assembly, which corresponds to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the union, will convene at the address of the Headquarters on March 10, 2021; and in the event that a majority cannot be achieved on the date sought for the general assembly, it has been decided that the meeting will be held on 26 May 2021 at the Gazi University Cultural Center without seeking a majority. As a result of the congress, a new Board of Directors was formed and it was decided by a majority of votes that Yasin Kalafatoğlu would enter the management. Businessman Yasin Kalafatoğlu said the following about his nomination for the board of directors: “I would like to thank and express my gratitude to my esteemed elders, who made me nominated for the Board of Directors,  Deputy Minister of Environment and Urbanization, Mr. Mücahit Demirtaş, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Akif Özkaldı, and Mr. İlyas Demirtaş, Deputy Secretary General, for their humility”.

The working commissions, the main executive organ of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, are composed of people who have devoted themselves to the Turkish world ideal and distinguished themselves in their profession. In this context, businessman Yasin Kalafatoğlu will transfer his knowledge and experience to the union as the "Chairman of the Maritime and Trade Commission". The Union of Architects and Engineers of the Turkish World is a public association and was established in 2000 by the decision of the Council of Ministers. The Turkish World was added to the name of the institution, which was known as the Union of Engineers and Architects of Turkey in the year it was founded, by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2015.

Congress Studies in the Union of Architects and Engineers of the Turkish World

Among the primary objectives of the congress, which is planned to implement the denominator of unity in language, opinion and work in the field of engineering, architecture and urbanism in the Turkish world; In addition to ensuring the commonality of vocational training, professional development and field practices, it can be counted to prevent their disappearance and to ensure that they are known by making a situation determination of the architectural works that are destroyed for various reasons, are on the verge of disappearing and are unknown outside of the geography they are located.

One of the long-term goals of the congress is to mobilize the "Turkish World" and the international community and to provide resources for the repair of these works. In other words, the congress tries to keep the three-dimensional works, which are the common values of the Turkish world, alive. The congress has no ideological or political aspects. The subjects are approached from a purely scientific point of view and special attention is paid to this subject.

In the past and today, as the Turkish state and communities, in order to provide geographical coverage; to discuss the architectural and urbanism issues of Turkish common culture in the countries and communities called the Turkish world in the world public opinion of Representatives of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, North Africa, Georgia, Western Thrace, Kosovo, Romania, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Albania and living in Germany, France, America, Australia, Belgium and Switzerland, and to make the understanding of “Unity in Language, Idea and Business” dominant in the Turkish world are the most important priorities of the union and the congress.

TDMMB, together with the engineering and architectural community, is an institution that has adopted the motto of "Unity in Language, Idea, and Work" in the Turkish-Islamic geography, with the services that will carry the future to the level of contemporary civilizations with the high values it has acquired from its deep-rooted past. The union, which has representatives in 36 countries, is a Non-Governmental Organization that organizes the Turkish World Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning Conventions, Turkish-Islamic Cities Şehrengiz Meetings from Kaşgar to Andalusia and the Mimar Sinan International Project Olympics.

WORKING AREAS OF THE UNION

Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, as a national society and a responsible non-governmental organization, by exchanging information and views with the government, public and private institutions, sister non-governmental organizations day and night, it conducted many significant symposiums, conferences, forums and congresses in the Turkish World. The results obtained from these activities were also shared with the relevant institutions and organizations for their benefit. To meet the common needs of engineering professionals in the Turkic World and Related Communities, the union management, which sets out to facilitate professional activities, to ensure the development of the profession in accordance with the general interests, to make all the attempts and activities that it deems necessary to protect the professional discipline and morality in order to make honesty and trust prevail in the relations of the members of the profession with each other and with the public, is working diligently for this.
